Taco Soup With Cornbread
Soup
1lb Ground Beef
2 15 oz cans Ranch Style Beans
2 15 oz cans Corn, drained
2 15 oz cans Diced Tomatoes with Green
Chiles
2 cups of Water
1 1-oz packet of dry Ranch Seasoning
1 1-oz packet of Taco Seasoning
Cornbread
1 box Jiffy Cornbread Mix
1 15 oz can Creamed Corn
1 Egg
1 Tablespoon milk
1 Tablespoon sour cream
1 Tablespoon sugar
¼ cup butter
To make the soup:
Brown hamburger meat in a large pot.
Add beans, corn, tomatoes, water, and seasonings to the pot.
Let soup simmer for 45-50 minutes. Serve with cornbread.
To make the cornbread:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Mix all of the ingredients, except butter, together in a large bowl.
Place butter in an iron skillet and place skillet in oven to melt.
Once the butter is melted, remove the skillet from the oven and pour the batter into the pan.
Bake cornbread for 15-20 minutes.
