Have you been scared about this coronavirus? I mean, everywhere you look – at mainstream media, at Walmart, at your friends, at co-workers – people are afraid. They’re changing the way they lived up to this point to avoid contact with this illness. How about you? Are you fearful or faith-filled?
I asked Dr. Nada, a medical doctor and dear ministry friend of mine, what exactly the virus can do to us. She said that coronavirus in itself is not new. It’s been around for a while; just the current strains are new to us. It’s the fear, the panicking, the anxiety that will cause some people to die. The fear is just too much. But we as Christians have been given the name that is above all names – even coronavirus! It’s the name that will infuse hope, that will bring light to the darkness. We have to speak the name of Jesus, to be the light, to encourage the people around us!
My friend, these are the end times. This is the time to lay hands on the sick and see them recover, not for us to be the sick, amen? We must turn to the Word of Almighty God and show His power in all the earth.
Do you remember the Bible story of all the plagues coming to Egypt? There were flies and grasshoppers and frogs and blood in the water… I mean, it was overwhelming! The people were plagued! And then the last plague came. The Lord told Moses to hold a last supper. Oh, I love the Last Supper! There was lamb and horseradish and unleavened bread. It was magnificent. And God said, “I want you to take the blood of the lamb…” The lamb signified the coming Christ. “I want you to take the blood of the lamb and put the blood on the doorposts of your house.” Remember they took a hyssop branch and raised the drink to Jesus while He hung on the cross?
You are the house of God today, and the blood of Jesus has been applied to you from the top of your head to the soles of your feet. Now, after the blood was applied in Exodus, the death angel was to visit every house that did not have the blood of the lamb, and the death of the firstborn in that house would occur. All of the Israelites, in obedience to the word, bloodied their doorposts and their firstborns were saved. All the heathen, all the Egyptians, all the evil, their children died.
Now I hate that their children died, but there was a principle at work here. You had to cover your household. You have to do the same today. I don’t care who you are or what you do, you’ve got to cover your household in Jesus’ name. You do that by the blood of the Lamb. Maybe you want to take oil as a symbol and just go around your house praying, “I cover my household in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. No plague will come near my dwelling!”
The blood still works. It has the power to heal and to save, so don’t be afraid! Jesus said, “If you believe in God, believe also in Me.” He sent His Word, and He healed you. He delivers your life from destruction. He heals all your diseases. He will bless your bread and your water and take the sickness out of your midst.”
We have to take the Word as true because when we do, no weapon formed against us shall prosper, not even the weapons of sickness and death. Psalm 91 says, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High shall abide in the shadow of the Almighty.” This area of faith is where we have to abide. “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”
Some of you are fear-filled because you haven’t been in churches that were faith-filled. I love you. It is life and death where you go to church. No church is perfect. We all have flaws. We all have bad days. We all have Sundays that didn’t go like we planned, but you still need to get yourself in the house of God and submitted to a group of people. You need to be able to touch and agree on things in prayer.
Go to church. Spend time in prayer and reading the Word. Don’t spend more time on Facebook or Instagram than you do in the Word. It’s a misuse of your time! Read faith, speak faith. This is what is needed for the season you’re in and for the people whose lives you touch.
God’s Word will not return void when it comes out of your mouth, but it shall prosper in the thing it’s sent to do. Speak the Word. Speak Psalm 91. Say the name of Jesus. Maybe you’ve been sick with the the flu; maybe it is coronavirus. Maybe you’ve got pneumonia. Right now in Jesus’ name, I speak to your body. I command your body to line up with the Word of God. I command the symptoms of this sickness to stop. Be healed, in Jesus’ name! Be healthy and whole! Be filled with faith and not fear! God is with you, and He is all you need!
Listen, I want you to know I’m here for you. I’m here to be a blessing. I love you. God bless!
