Do not be passive about your miracle. God will answer your request, but you have to keep asking. Be aggressive about your deliverance. God is not ignoring your prayers. He is testing you, so stand your ground and dare to believe God.
The Bible says in Mark 7, Jesus had left Galilee and entered a house in Tyre. He tried to keep his location a secret, but he couldn’t. “For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet. The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter” (verses 25-26). The woman was a Gentile, and in that day, the Jews called the Gentiles dogs. But despite the odds being stacked against her, this woman was determined for Jesus to deliver her daughter.
Jesus answered the woman and said unto her, “Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it unto the dogs” (verse 27). Jesus was not trying to insult the woman. He wanted to know how hungry she was for a breakthrough. He told the woman he was sent to take care of Israel, God’s chosen people, first, and then he would take care of the Gentiles.
But this woman was like the widow before the unjust judge. She refused to take “no” for an answer. Some of us would have become offended and walked off, sulking, but not this woman. She had aggressive faith, and she refused to leave that place until she got her miracle. “And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children’s crumbs” (verse 28). This woman reasoned if there was sugar was in the loaf, then there was sugar in the crumbs. If there was healing in the loaf, then there was healing in the crumbs. A crumb of God’s power can drive the devil out of your house. All you need is a crumb.
This woman had stubborn faith like Jacob. Jacob refused to let go of God until He changed his situation. He wrestled with God all night. Finally, God said let me go. But Jacob was aggressive. He said I am not letting you go until you bless my soul. God can’t resist faith. And the Lord answered Jacob’s request and blessed him.
God honored the Syrophoenician’s faith as well. “And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter” (verse 29). The woman believed the word of the Lord. “And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed” (verse 30). God is driving the devil out of someone’s house right now. He is delivering somebody right now.
You have been praying and crying out to God. But your weeping days are coming to a close. The Holy Spirit told me to tell you God has heard your cry and seen your tears. Deliverance has come to your house. That devil is gone out of your house, your children, your spouse, your finances. God is setting you free. The Lord is visiting you right now. Don’t give up. God can’t ignore stubborn faith.
God Bless,
