Following the plan of God for our lives is the most exciting thing known to man. Without question, God is planning wonderful things for all His children. He delights to bring those things to pass in our lives. Psalm 37:4-5,7 declares, “Delight thyself in the Lord; and He shall give the the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him.” The P.K. Harrison Translation of verse 5 declares, “Commit your enterprise to the Lord and trust Him to accomplish it.” If we place our entire trust and confidence in His ability to fulfill those desires, they will come to pass!
God has the Plans and He is Planning Good Things for Us
Webster defines plan as: “A diagram showing the arrangement of something, a design for making, doing or arranging something, an outline to something, to have in mind as a project or purpose, to make something.” Isn’t it great to trust in God’s supernatural plan for our lives versus the one that we would choose for ourselves? Jeremiah 29:11 (Jerusalem Translation) reminds us, “I know the plans I have in mind for you- it is Yahweh who speaks- plans for peace, not disaster, reserving a future full of hope for you.” The Knox Translation declares, “I have not lost sight of my plans for you,’ the Lord says, ‘and it is your welfare I have in mind, not your undoing; for you to have a destiny and a hope.’”These verses are very powerful and encouraging. God hasn’t forgotten His great purpose over your life. His amazing destiny is ongoing and filled with great things!
Doing His Plans and not Our Own
Proverbs 16:1 tells us, “The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the Lord.” Young’s Translation tells us, “Of men are arrangements of the heart, and from Jehovah the answer of the tongue.” When we seek to lay aside what we think we should be doing and inquire of the Lord, His desires in our heart will emerge and we will see clear His plans. We must remember God’s plans work and bring great fulfillment. He is not blessing man’s plans but His. Doing His will and not ours is the lifetime key to success.
Don’t Be Frustrated by Delays- It Will Come to Pass
We should never think that temporary delays are God’s denials. We must hold on, hold fast and persevere in the direction that God is leading. With patience and perseverance it will come to pass. There is a timing and setting for all things to come to pass. Ecclesiastes 3:1 declares, “To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heavens.” The Moffatt’s Translation declares, “Everything has it’s appointed hour, there is a time for all things under heaven.” The Septuagint Translation declares, “Time is for all things: but there is a particular portion of time for every particular affair under heaven.” The BAS version says, “For everything there is a fixed time, and a time for every business under the sun.” If something in your heart hasn’t happen yet, don’t be frustrated, just stay steady and continue to use you faith to see it come to pass in the right season. It will come to pass! Don’t be discouraged.
Place Your Confidence in God’s Ability
In Genesis 18:14, God told Abrahan nothing was beyond His ability. “Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.” Abraham was ninety-nine and Sarah ninety when God said, “You’re going to have a baby!” God had to remind Abraham and Sarah that nothing is too hard for Him! I want to encourage you to believe in those God given dreams and desires that are in your heart. he can bring it to pass for you. Thank you so very much for your gracious support and love toward this ministry. We appreciate you greatly.
