And hope maketh not ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
Romans 5:5
(see Phil 1:20; 2 Cor 1:22; Eph 1:13)
What are you hoping for in the Lord? What is your most burning desire? Do you long for a life companion, peace with your children, a breakthrough for provision, a deeper purpose and vision for the Kingdom? Are you dissatisfied or unfulfilled? Is your heart searching for the true meaning of life after the turbulent waters of 2020? May I testify with the greatest humility, that truly, the only path I have found to real freedom, joy, peace, fulfillment, and love is wrapped up in one word:
JESUS.
The Apostle Paul has a powerful testimony of his face-to-face encounter with that changed his life forever! Paul, a Rabbi in training, was a passionate man pursuing God, who was willing to fight to the death to protect the faith he knew…until Jesus REVOLUTOIZED HIS HEART. God transformed him from being a man on a “mission” to becoming a man of commission, by Jesus Christ himself, to go and rescue the lost so they would know Jesus Christ and BE FREE! Jesus commissioned Paul to set the captives free from sin, fear, control and empty religious ritual, replacing their rule keeping, legalistic faith with pure surrendered faith in him! Paul describes the power of a changed heart, or a “circumcised heart” in Romans Chapter 5:1-11:
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: v2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (Heb 3:6) v3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; (Acts 5:41; 2 Cor 12:9; James 1:3) v4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: (Phil 2:22) v5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. (Phil 1:20; 2 Cor 1:22; Eph 1:13) v6 For when we were without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly, (Is 53:5) v7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet perhaps for a good man some would even dare to die. v8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Rom 8:39; John 3:16; John 15:13) v9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. v10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. (Rom 8:32; Col 1:21) v11 And only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have no received the atonement. (Gal 4:9)
May the grace of Jesus Christ and his unfailing love for you, wash over your hearts this Easter!
