Prayer That Gets Results

Ephesians 6:18 (AMPC)

Pray at all times (on every occasion) (in every season) in the Spirit with all manner of prayer and entreaty. Keep alert with strong purpose and perseverance interceding on behalf of the saints. Pray instead of worry.

  1. Have a clear-cut goal, a definite request

Philippians 4:6 (AMP)Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. † When we ask God for general things (like to bless us), He will most likely not answer. You should give a definite request to God. You need to write it in your prayer journal, with a date on it. Every morning spend time with God and go over your definite requests. If you need a child saved, put a picture in your journal, write the child’s name, and pray over it daily. If you need a job, tell God how much you need to get paid, what you want to do, what area of the city you want to work in, etc. Remember, the first ten percent of all your increase belongs to Him.

  1. You must have a vivid mental picture

The Holy Spirit operates in the area of visions and dreams. Praying for healing? Get a mental picture of your body healed. Need salvation for someone? See that person have a change of heart, meet new friends, and choose to come to church weekly to worship and learn the Word. Need a job? See yourself going out looking for work, God opening doors, and giving you favor. See yourself getting up, getting dressed, and going to work daily. Need a picture of prosperity? Believe in supernatural debt cancellation. See yourself having favor with mortgage companies, etc. See yourself getting divine direction to know how to prosper your business. Seeing is possession! Ephesians 3:20 (AMP)Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, dreams, imagines], according to His power that is at work within us…

  1. You must have a burning desire (to the boiling point)
  2. You must pray for assurance (if you do not have it)
  3. You must speak the Word

God does not like lukewarm. You should have a burning desire for what you are asking God for. If you do not have a burning desire, wait and ask for God to impart it to you. Faith is the substance, the title deed, the evidence, the proof of things that we ask for. If you do not have assurance, you must pray for that proof or title deed until God gives it to you. Words are the most powerful tool in the universe. They can curse or bring life. Watch what you say. Do not undo your faith-filled prayers with doubt or fear. Never say, “I can’t.” When you say, “I can’t” there is a chemical reaction from your brain that shuts down your whole body. This is a medically proven fact. Romans 4:17 (NKJV)Call things that are non-existent into existence. † God spoke the world into creation with words. We are saved through the spoken word. The requests we are believing for and seeing God do must be followed by faith-filled positive words that declare God will do them!

PRAYER TO BREAK RELIGION AND SPIRITUAL SLACKNESS

Father God, you are the rewarder of those who diligently seek You.

Hebrews 11:6 (AMP)

But without faith, it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.

I repent for any lack of diligence in my spiritual walk or prayer life. I repent for all apathy and lethargy. In the name of Jesus, I shut every demonic door that has been opened to hinder my prayer life. I bind the cares of this world and pride of life. I break every dark covenant that has been set against the call of God upon my life. Father, liberate me from being stuck or religious without any power operating. Deliver me as I renounce all religious spirits that cause me to stop growing, be powerless, and become calloused to Your Spirit’s movement in my life.

I renounce any soul ties that would distract my mind from my prayer assignment. I bind all financial, emotional, physical, associations, and distractions against my private time with God. Lord, show me any people, places, or things that have been strategically put in my path to blind my eyes, close my ears, and shut my mouth in the spirit. I plead the blood of Jesus over my eyes, ears, and mouth. They will be used by God in this hour.

Lord, thank you for helping me to pray prayers that avail much. I realize my prayers can break the drought, and bring change to my family, city, and nation. I was created to have a personal relationship with You and to stand in the gap. The Bible says, “The people who know their God shall be strong and do great exploits.” May I be strong in prayer, holy in body, pure in heart, and powerful in words. I repent for all spiritual laziness. From this moment on, I yield and submit my prayer life to the Holy Spirit. Amen.
